Professional Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Houston Medical Transportation (HMT), we strive to provide reliable, timely, and high-quality non-emergency medical transportation. To ensure fair scheduling, driver availability, and smooth operations, our cancellation and refund policy is outlined below.

1 Refund Eligibility

A full refund will be issued for any trip canceled 24 hours or more before the scheduled pickup time.

2 Late Cancellations

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before pickup are considered late cancellations. In this case, the full trip fee will be charged, and no refund will be issued.

3 No-Show Policy

If the patient or responsible party is not present at the pickup location within 15 minutes of driver arrival, the trip will be marked as a No-Show. No-Show trips are fully charged, and no refund applies.

4 Rescheduling

Trips may be rescheduled at least 12 hours in advance, subject to vehicle and driver availability. Rescheduling within 12 hours may result in additional charges.

5 Cash Payments

If a trip is paid in cash and later canceled late or results in a No-Show, the payment becomes non-refundable.

6 Card or Online Payments

Refunds for eligible cancellations (24+ hours) will be processed within 3–5 business days back to the original payment method.

7 Driver Dispatch Rule

Once a driver has been dispatched or is already en route, the trip is automatically considered non-refundable.
